Where to Watch the Fireworks This Weekend
We admit we are partial to watching fireworks from out on the water. We bet you do too! So if you want to catch the fireworks down the coast from Herrington Harbour, Maryland to Charleston, South Carolina, here are the details:
Maryland
July 1:
Herrington Harbour Fireworks—Fireworks set off from a barge illuminate Herring Bay. Marina grounds are reserved for members. But the view is great from boats, private docks, lawns and beaches. About 9:15pm, Herrington Harbour South, Rose Haven
July 3:
Sherwood Forest Fireworks—See this private community show from the Severn River.
July 4:
Annapolis Fireworks—Fireworks rise from a barge anchored in Spa Creek, illuminating Annapolis Harbor, after a United States Naval Academy concert at City Dock (8pm).
Virginia
July 4:
Norfolk 39th Annual Great American Picnic and Fireworks—Fireworks show high above the Elizabeth River, beginning at 9:30pm.
Virginia Beach Stars and Stripes Celebration— Fireworks will be shot from a barge and can be viewed from anywhere along the beach (9:30 pm)
North Carolina
July 2:
Oriental Croaker Festival—The Fire Works Show will go off from the bridge, as so many have before. Just after sunset, 9:15 p.m. the show will start and you can see it from below the bridge, a boat, or anywhere on shore where the bridge is visible.
July 4:
New Bern 4th of July Celebration—Fireworks will be shot off from Lawson Creek Park at 9:15 and may be viewed from the Trent River
Atlantic Beach Fireworks—The fireworks are set off from the beachfront and can be seen throughout Town and from the water starting at 9 pm.
Southport NC 4th of July Festival and Fireworks — 9 pm fired from the Southport waterfront that will be visible for miles around.
South Carolina
July 4:
Myrtle Beach Fireworks at the Cherry Grove Pier 9:30 pm
Charleston Fireworks—Charleston Harbor Marina 8:45 pm
Tybee Island — Fireworks on Independence Day shot off from the pier and visible from Easter beaches at approximately 9:15 pm
