| Scaramouche is a 1986,
36' Morris Francis that has undergone a thorough refit
over the course of three lay-up seasons. She arrived
at ZMI in relatively good condition. Her systems and
cosmetic appearance, however, were both outdated and
worn. After detailed conversations and correspondence
with the owners, ZMI planned a multi-season refit that
enabled the owners to use the boat between each yard
visit.
Her refit included an engine replacement, from a 28
HP Volvo to a 42 HP Westerbeke, full Awlgrip application,
including hull, deck and spars, ten coats of varnish
to all weather deck brightwork, as well as new running
and standing rigging. Additionally, her electrical system
was upgraded, including a new electrical panel, charging
system, AGM batteries and inverter. Scaramouche's improved
appliances include both engine-driven and shore assist
Sea Frost refrigeration, a re-insulated reefer, diesel
fired domestic hot water and heat and a Spectra water
maker.
