This 50’ 1970 trawler had seen better days, including a stint in the Middle East. Her current owners liked the layout, and saw the opportunity to refit a good hull with new equipment of their choosing. This refit began in the heart of the boat, with the removal of engines, engine beds, generators, and fuel tanks. ZMI built new engine stringers and installed new Caterpillar 3208 engines, Northern Lights 12 kw gensets, aluminum fuel tanks, and sound insulation. The engines were fitted with Twin Disc electronic controls.

ZMI removed all wiring and plumbing, and designed and installed new systems. We fitted her with new stainless water tanks and with new holding tanks. ZMI also installed a Sealand VacuFlush head system, new bilge pumps, and all new plumbing.

ISTENADLEZE also received a new suite of electronics, including Furuno radar, B&G instruments, and Northstar GPS. The next phase of this project will include refinishing of the hull and deck.
