Zimmerman
Marine Inc. repairs, maintains, refits, and builds
yachts. ZMI services sail and power cruising boats,
wood, fiberglass, aluminum, and steel, in sizes
from 16' to 100'. Founded in 1981, ZMI has earned
a national reputation for outstanding workmanship
and personal service.
We are located on the lower Chesapeake on the East
River of Mobjack Bay, here.

Steve Zimmerman
President
Steve Zimmerman is the founder and President
of Zimmerman Marine Inc. Steve has logged
several thousand miles on the water, including
the entire East Coast from Canada to the Caribbean,
and over forty trips between the Chesapeake
and Long Island Sound. He has raced, cruised,
and worked as a paid hand and captain.
Steve graduated from the University of Virginia
and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. While
in college Steve developed and directed
a non-profit consumer protection agency
which mediated complaints between consumers
and merchants.

Hobbies:
sailing and delivering Zimmerman 36 cruisers;
martial arts - he holds the rank of black
belt in the martial art of Aikido, which
he continues to practice and teach.
Steve lives in West Point, Virginia with
his wife Gwen.
